Welcome

Welcome to Eltham Church of England Primary School.

It is a great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to Eltham Church of England Primary School.

As the new Headteacher from September 2026, I am delighted to be returning to a school that has played such an important part in my own professional journey. Having previously worked at Eltham in a variety of roles, including Phase Leader, Assistant Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, I know first-hand what a special place this is. To return as Headteacher is both an honour and a responsibility that I am incredibly proud to hold.

For over 200 years, Eltham Church of England Primary School has been at the heart of the local community. We proudly refer to ourselves as the Eltham Family, because we believe that education is a partnership built on strong relationships between children, staff, governors, parents, carers, the church and the wider community. Together, we create an environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

At the heart of all we do is our Christian vision, inspired by the words of Micah 6:8:

"Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly with your God."

This vision guides our decisions, shapes our culture and underpins our commitment to providing an excellent academic, social and spiritual education. We strive to prepare our children for a responsive and contributive role in society, equipping them with the confidence, character and compassion to make a positive difference in the world around them.

Our school values are woven into everyday life at Eltham:

• Love

• Enthusiasm

• Understanding

• Forgiveness

• Resilience

• Respect

These values help us to nurture children who are kind, courageous, responsible and ambitious learners, ready to embrace opportunities and challenges alike.

Whilst we are proud of our Church of England foundation, we warmly welcome families of all faiths and none. Diversity is one of our strengths, and we celebrate the rich cultures, experiences and perspectives that make our school community unique.

I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Eltham CE Primary School, but there is no substitute for seeing our school in action. I would encourage you to visit us, meet our wonderful children and dedicated staff, and experience the warm, caring and ambitious environment that makes Eltham such a special place to learn and grow.

I look forward to working in partnership with all members of our school family as we continue to build on the school's many strengths and create the very best opportunities for every child.
